The benefits of agroecology within everyone's reach
With this project it is intendedto offer a space in an ecological farm adapted to people with functional diversity, where they can carry out activities in contact with nature and acquire basic notions of organic farming and biodiversity, as well as promote social and collaborative capacities, with the interaction between the different groups and volunteering that will share the space.
The tasks of planting and caring for orchards are intended to be a motor at the mental level, transforming passivity into proactivity, and valuing the abilities of the participants.
An idyllic place where it will be possible to improve the living conditions of these groups, their role, relevance and participation in our society, promoting their greater autonomy and developing their personal potential.
We have designed and built a wheelchair-friendly grow table, but we need resources to finish executing the accessibility project and adaptation of spaces for people with reduced mobility: road conditioning works, correcting the slope of a ramp and accessibility of a bathroom.
For this, the project participates in the Tenerife Solidarity Alliance , a platform promoted by the Cabildo de Tenerife, which was born with the aim of uniting the solidarity initiative of companies, in order to increase their capacity for action and help the most vulnerable groups, creating a secure network between associations and solidarity organizations.
